As directors we discuss all the concept we want to work on always trying to push the boundaries of videoart, mainly in what refers to perception and narrative construction. We are interested in the material image and its power in deconstructing and creating beyond what’s happening in the framed surface. We are deeply interested in exploring a more expanded mediality (in betweeness), where the viewer creates his own aesthetic and emotional path. This way, this cinematic experience might also be the embodiment of an perceptive immersion where beautiful images and compelling imagery highlight the power of the false in reorganizing reality. The pre-production is primary shooting that will later be watched and will entail the whole concept. It’s a very organic method of working, actually. Every frame and its possibilities are carefully discussed but it’s also open to the most unexpected taking the final work to a very unfamiliar ground from the starting point.
And we love that process of working. Of course, Its a not a path without its pitfalls but it becomes a more collaborative and enriching experience both as and artistic and team learning.
